The essentials: only submit material you have the right to use; you keep ownership of your work; you give Street Radio permission to host, play and promote it; submission does not guarantee airplay; and you can ask us to remove your material.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you visit streetradio.co.uk, create an account, upload music, use a promotion kit, subscribe to fan updates or otherwise use a Street Radio service.
By creating an account or submitting material, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or submit content. Our Privacy Policy separately explains how we use personal information.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use Street Radio. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian before creating an artist account or submitting music. If you submit material for a band, label or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to act for them.
3. Artist accounts
- Give accurate information and keep your email address and profile details current.
- Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe somebody has accessed your account without permission.
- Do not impersonate another artist or create an account using information you have no right to use.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from something Street Radio has done wrong.
New accounts and submissions may remain pending while the Street Radio team reviews them.
4. Music and other submissions
You retain ownership of the music, recordings, artwork, photographs, biography and other original material you submit.
When submitting material, you confirm that:
- you own it or have all permissions needed for Street Radio to use it as described in these terms;
- the submission and our permitted use will not infringe copyright, performers' rights, privacy, publicity, trade marks or other rights;
- all featured performers, producers, writers, labels and other relevant rights holders have given any necessary permission; and
- the information you provide about the artist and track is accurate and not misleading.
Do not upload commercial releases, samples, beats, cover versions, remixes, photographs or artwork unless you have the necessary rights and permissions.
5. Permission you give Street Radio
To operate and promote the service, you give Street Radio non-exclusive permission to store, copy for technical purposes, stream, broadcast, display and make available your submitted material, and to use the artist name, track title, artwork, profile information and reasonable clips in connection with Street Radio and its promotion.
This permission allows us to feature the material on Street Radio websites, radio streams, schedules, charts, emails, promotion kits and Street Radio social channels. It also allows hosting, email, streaming and other service providers to process the material only as needed to provide those services to us.
You may continue to use and license your work elsewhere. No ownership is transferred to Street Radio. No fee is payable merely because material is submitted, hosted or promoted under these terms, except where a payment is required by law, an applicable collecting-society arrangement or a separate written agreement.
You may ask us to stop future use and remove material by contacting us. We will act within a reasonable period, although material may remain in backups for a limited time and we may not control copies or posts already shared by third parties.
6. Selection, airplay and promotion campaigns
Submitting a track does not guarantee approval, publication, airplay, chart placement, a particular number of plays or continued availability. Music selection is an editorial decision made by the Street Radio team.
Show dates, times, presenters, playlists and campaigns may change or be cancelled for operational or editorial reasons. We will try to keep published information accurate and, where practical, update affected artists.
Selected artists may receive notification and reminder emails with a personal promotion-kit link. Using promotional material or submitting a link to a public social post is optional. Engagement may help us understand artist support and may inform future editorial decisions, but it does not guarantee future airplay. Detailed engagement reports remain private to authorised Street Radio administrators, apart from any public supporter badge an artist earns.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Street Radio to:
- break the law, infringe another person's rights or encourage harmful or unlawful conduct;
- upload malicious files, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or place an unreasonable load on the service;
- manipulate plays, downloads, clicks, chart positions or engagement records using bots, repeated artificial activity or deception;
- harass, threaten, defame or impersonate another person;
- collect information about other users without permission; or
- send spam or use Street Radio branding in a way that falsely suggests endorsement or partnership.
8. Review, moderation and removal
We may reasonably reject, hide or remove material, place an account on hold, or restrict access where we believe these terms have been breached, rights may be at risk, information is misleading, security is threatened or action is needed to operate the service responsibly.
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give the account holder an opportunity to contact us. Serious or repeated misuse may result in immediate suspension. These steps do not limit any legal rights available to either party.
9. Copyright and rights concerns
If you believe content on Street Radio infringes your rights, email info@streetradio.co.uk with your name, the material concerned, where it appears, the basis of your claim and how we can contact you. We may temporarily restrict the content while reviewing the concern and may request further evidence.
Do not knowingly make a false or misleading rights complaint.
10. Third-party services and links
Street Radio may contain embedded radio players, social-media tools and links to third-party websites. Those services are operated under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services, although this does not remove any responsibility Street Radio has under applicable law.
11. Service availability
We aim to keep Street Radio available and its information accurate, but radio streams, scheduled shows, artist pages, and other features may occasionally be interrupted, delayed, changed or withdrawn. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Please keep your own copies of tracks, artwork and other important material. Street Radio should not be used as the only storage location for your work.
12. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Street Radio is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, by a user's breach of these terms, or by third-party services we do not control.
If you use Street Radio mainly for business or professional purposes, we are not responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings unless applicable law says otherwise.
13. Ending your use
You may stop using Street Radio and ask us to close your account or remove your content by contacting us. We may need to retain limited information for legal, security, preference or audit purposes as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Terms which by their nature need to continue after an account closes—such as provisions concerning ownership, earlier permitted uses, disputes and responsibility—will continue to apply.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, law or our working practices change. The latest version and updated date will appear on this page. If a change significantly affects registered users, we will provide reasonable notice where practical. Changes will not remove rights you already have under applicable law.
15. Law and disputes
Please contact us first if a problem arises so we can try to resolve it fairly. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
