We are Street Radio — music from the streets, by the people
Independent, community-powered radio and music discovery platform. We champion unsigned and overlooked artists — supporting real music, real communities, and real people.
Our mission
Street Radio exists to open doors for independent artists, to connect fans with music outside the mainstream, and to build a supportive community that rewards creativity over commercial reach. We host tracks, showcase artists, publish charts, and provide tools for fans to find the next great sound.
For artists
Simple upload, clear rights guidance, and fair exposure. Our playlists and charts are driven by listener engagement — not pay-to-play.
For fans
Discover tracks curated by the community, follow artists, and support the music you love. We surface hidden gems and celebrate diversity in sound.
For communities
We collaborate with venues, collectives and promoters to spotlight local scenes and create opportunities for live showcases.
How to submit your music
We welcome submissions from independent artists and labels. Before you submit, please make sure:
- You own the rights to the recording (or have authorisation to submit).
- Your audio is high-quality (MP3 320kbps, WAV preferred for best results).
- You include artwork (800×800 recommended), a short description, and genre/tags.
Submit via /upload.php or email hello@streetradio.co.uk with your track links and a short bio.
Charts, features & shows
Our charts (Plays / Downloads) are generated from aggregated listener data and updated regularly. We also run curated features, seasonal playlists and occasional radio shows — follow our socials for announcements.
Support the platform
Running a community music platform takes time and resources. If you like what we do, consider supporting us so we can keep hosting, curating and promoting independent music.
