Tidal explores the emotional push and pull of a relationship at breaking point,
told through two opposing perspectives. Beginning with soft acoustic and pedal steel guitars, the song
grows as tender, intertwined vocals reveal exhaustion from one side and desperation from the other. As
the voices clash through the choruses and middle 8, the tension builds to a rousing climax, leaving the
listener uncertain which voice — and which future — prevails.
Following the success of their debut single Darling Don’t You Know Me, released alongside the rapid rise
of Kissmet’s online fanbase, the band return with their highly anticipated second release, Tidal. Fresh from
standout shows at Bush Hall and The Ned, hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Jodie Bryant, the single is
accompanied by winter-themed visualisers and cinematic acoustic clips. Kissmet will debut Tidal live at
their February headline show at The Yard in Hampshire and compete in the Isle of Wight Festival
competition in March.
